NAG members in costume (Dr. Wang is channeling the dark side of the force…)
We have been delinquent in updating our blog – sorry about that! It’s time to catch up, as lots has been going on with our group over the last few months. A number of NAG members participated in the last ASA conference in Indianapolis (October 2014); we presented three technical papers and two undergraduate posters. Notably, both undergraduate poster presenters won Undergraduate Poster Awards – congratulations to Brenna Boyd and Laura Brill (from Nebraska Wesleyan, advised by NAG PhD student Matt Blevins)! Other highlights of the conference included: singing a capella with other interested ASA attendees on Monday night; NAG Halloween Party after the ASA social on Thursday evening during which many NAG members dressed up (and won costume awards at the social!); and hanging out late in the evening playing Resistance and Avalon.
