- Dakota Kelley was selected as the Outstanding MAE Student for 2011 by the Architectural Engineering Program faculty. (May 2011)

- Norman Philipp received the “Outstanding Young Presenter in Noise” award in the ASA Technical Committee on Noise Student Paper Competition in Portland, for his paper “Comparison of apparent field sound transmission class (AFSTC) and outdoor indoor transmission class (OITC) as applied to modular classroom design and field analysis”. - Jonathan Rathsam has been awarded a 2008-09 NSF IRFP Postdoctoral Fellowship. He will use the fellowship to work with Dr. Boaz Rafaely at Ben-Gurion University in Beer-Sheva, Israel, on a project entitled: “In situ measurement of acoustical absorption using a spherical microphone array”. - David Manley received the University of Nebraska Architectural Engineering 2008 Outstanding MAE Student Award. (February 2008)
- Jonathan Rathsam was granted a 2007 Newman Student Award Medal for merit in architectural acoustics. (December 2007)
- Alicia Wagner was awarded the 2007 ASA Graduate Fellowship for Minorities. (June 2007)
- Michelle Vigeant received 1st Honors in the ASA Architectural Acoustics Student Paper Competition in Salt Lake City, for her paper “Validation study of computer modeling of source directivity”. (June 2007)
- Jonathan Rathsam spent two months, collaborating with the Acoustic Technology group at the Technical University of Denmark, under the direction of Prof. Jens Holger Rindel. (June 2007)
- Jennifer Reisdorff and Ryan Skoug received 2007-08 UNL UCARE Grants to conduct research in acoustics. (April 2007)
- Members of the Nebraska Acoustics Group networked with consultants and presented their research during a Room Acoustics Symposium at Acentech in Boston, along with students from the Architectural Acoustics program at RPI. (March 2007)

- Jonathan Rathsam is spending five months, collaborating with researchers at the Institute of Technical Acoustics at RWTH-Aachen University, under the direction of Prof. Michael Vorlander. (January 2007)
- Michelle Vigeant was granted a 2006 Newman Student Award Medal for merit in architectural acoustics. (December 2006)
- Lauren Ronsse received a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship for 2006-2009. (August 2006)
- Members of the Nebraska Acoustics Group participated in the 2006 Concert Hall Research Group Summer Institute in Aspen, Colorado. Four of our students received scholarships to participate in this event, including Marc Choiniere, Cathy Novak, Jonathan Rathsam and Michelle Vigeant. (August 2006)
- Erica Bowden Ryherd was awarded the 2006-07 ASA Hunt Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, to study hospital noise in Sweden. (June 2006)
- Steven Ryherd was selected to be a 2006-07 Fulbright Scholar to Sweden, where he will study acoustics at the Chalmers Institute of Technology. (June 2006)
